Saint Regis Mountain Fire Tower Historic Area - Unit Management Plan

The Saint Regis Mountain Fire Tower Historic Area (SRMFTHA) is a 0.5-acre parcel of land in the Town of Santa Clara, Franklin County. The dominant feature within the Historic Area is a fire tower, which was closed as a fire observation station in 1990 and has not been maintained since.

The Department has completed a Unit Management Plan (UMP) for the SRMFTHA, which proposes to resume maintenance of the fire tower for interpretive and educational purposes. If you have questions about the UMP, please contact us at adirondackpark@dec.ny.gov.
