Thompson Lake State Park
The Edwards property, acquired by OPRHP in October of 1999, adds another 150 acres to Thompson Lake State Park. Located in the area of the Heldeberg Escarpment, this acquisition assists in providing a link to nearby John Boyd Thacher State Park and preserves the viewshed of the natural geologic features of the escarpment. This abandoned farm and farm complex also increases access to the park which has become increasingly popular.
