Hudson Highlands State Park
A transfer of Anthony's Nose from the Division of Military and Naval Affairs to OPRHP occurred in February 1998 and expands Hudson Highlands State Park by 180 acres. Other acquisitions in area have added another 50 acres to the park. An additional 513 acres known as the Jacobson property was added to the park in June of 2000 using Clean Water/Clean Air Bond Act monies. This property runs along the western edge of the park from Route 301 to Indian Brook Road and contains important upland habitats, beautiful ravines and old woods roads. Additional acquisitions are being considered to complete the greenbelt linkage to the Hudson Highlands State Park.
