Wetlands For Recreation
From town parks to national wildlife refuges, from nature preserves to state parks, there are wetlands on many lands that are open to the public for recreation, education, and to observe nature. Whether you look close to home or across the state, you can find wetlands that are easy to explore on boardwalks or trails, or more challenging remote places that take hiking boots and a compass to seek out the beauty and mysteries they have to offer. Regardless of where you go, please exercise good nature manners: stay on trails so you do not trample sensitive vegetation, move quietly so you don't disturb wildlife, and do not collect or pick plants or animals: please don't take them from their homes!
