2010 Adirondack Park Community Smart Growth Grant Program

In December 2010, New York State announced the availability of $500,000 from the Environmental Protection Fund (EPF) for smart growth planning. The funds were made available to Adirondack Park communities for planning projects within the following grant categories:

Village, Hamlet and Town Center Revitalization
Sustainable Economic Development
Cultural, Environmental and Natural Adirondack Resources

The Department received 29 applications from around the Park, requesting a total of $1.4 million. Applications were evaluated through a pre-established competitive review process. The following projects were awarded funding, as announced on August 10, 2011.
