The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC) has approved and issued SEQR Findings for that portion of the 2005 Gore Unit Management Plan (UMP) Amendment associated with the interconnecting ski trails and lift between Gore Mountain Ski Center and the Historic North Creek Ski Bowl (Ski Bowl). This interconnect consists of the proposed ski trails and lifts identified as lifts #12 and #14 and trails #12-b through #12-j in Figure 1-1 of the 2005 Amendment of the 2002-2007 Unit Management Plan (UMP) and Generic Environmental Impact Statement (GEIS) for Gore Mountain Ski Center (2005 UMP Amendment) in North Creek, Town of Johnsburg, Warren County, New York. This interconnect is intended to expand skiing opportunities at Gore Mountain and revitalize the Ski Bowl. As can be seen on the maps in Appendix 1 of this SEIS, the interconnect will allow visitors to Gore Mountain and Ski Bowl to ski or walk to the Hamlet of North Creek and the yet to be constructed private "Ski Bowl Village Project" proposed by the FrontStreet Mountain Development, LLC (FrontStreet) and permitted by the Adirondack Park Agency (APA) in April 2008.
