Draft Primitive Tent Site Best Management Practices

These best management practices (BMPs) address roadside camping as it pertains to walk‐in sites, and walk‐in sites with a single‐lane parking area. These BMP's also address large groups at primitive tent sites, camping permits, primitive tent site size limits, improvements, and regulation changes. These BMPs also provide a series of tables outlining the Limits of Acceptable Change (LAC) standards for management of primitive tent sites. Additionally, this guidance provides the accessibility standards that apply to primitive tent sites.
