Cedarlands Conservation Easement - Draft Recreation Management Plan

The Cedarlands Conservation Easement is comprised of 4,890 acres located in the Town of Long Lake, Hamilton County. The central features of the area are two water bodies, Mud Pond and McRorie Lake (previously known as Rock Pond). There are also two prominent mountains, Rock Pond Mountain and Mud Pond Mountain. The lands are privately owned by the Boy Scouts of America.

Public Comment Opportunities

The Department has completed a draft Recreation Management Plan (RMP) for the Cedarlands Conservation Easement and will be holding a public meeting on Thursday, June 22, 2017 at 6:00 PM at the Town of Long Lake Town Hall, 1204 Main Street, Long Lake, NY 12847 (use front entrance). Written comments are welcome and will be accepted through July 14, 2017. Comments can be submitted to:
