Workshop Focuses on Management of Runoff and Sewer Overflows Using "Green" Methods

Rain gardens, a type of green infrastructure, filter runoff and let it percolate slowly into the soil.
Through the workshop, Governor Paterson's Environmental Justice Inter-Agency Task Force introduced municipalities and others to lessening the environmental impacts of heavy rainstorms by building "green" infrastructure. See the press release.
