Fourth Annual Hudson River Valley Ramble Scheduled

The Fourth Annual Hudson River Valley Ramble features approximately 140 outdoor explorations and events that highlight the scenic and natural landscapes and the historic and cultural riches of the Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area and the Hudson River Estuary. Nearly 125 guided walking, hiking, kayaking, canoeing and biking events led by environmental, historic preservation, land conservation and trail organizations, will occur throughout the ten-county region of the Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area, from Westchester and Rockland Counties to the Capital Region on the last two weekends of September.

Event Themes

Several event series offer an in-depth exploration of themes that earned the region its designation as a national heritage area, such as the Revolutionary War, the Hudson River School of Art, the Great Estates and the Hudson River Estuary. Most events are free, and many are geared for families.

Sponsorship

The Hudson River Valley Ramble is sponsored by the Hudson River Valley National Heritage Area and the Hudson River Valley Greenway, with assistance from the Hudson River Estuary Program of the New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC).
