State Accepting Applications for Environmental Protection Fund Grants
New York State is now accepting applications for projects eligible for funding under the New York State Environmental Protection Fund (EPF).
Grant Categories
DEC and other state agencies that implement EPF programs may be contacted to explain program requirements and how to complete grant applications. Grant applications are available for the following EPF programs:
- Hudson River Estuary Grant Program, administered by DEC. Call 518-402-9401 for more information.
- Parks, Historic Preservation and Heritage Area Program, administered by DEC. Call 518-474-0427 for more information.
- Local Waterfront Revitalization Program, administered by the Department of State. Call 518-474-6000 for more information.
Since 1995, the EPF and the Clean Water/Clean Air Bond Act together have provided more than $2.3 billion to help protect New York's natural resources and public health, improve environmental infrastructure and expand opportunities to enjoy the state's natural, cultural and historic assets. During that time, the EPF also has provided nearly $887 million for more than 3,600 projects.
