Exam for Forest Ranger to be Held

If you have always loved fishing, hunting, or hiking outdoors in the Empire State, and want to protect the natural resources you've always enjoyed so your children and their children will be able to enjoy them too, then maybe a job as a Forest Ranger is for you. This exciting career opportunity is scheduled for a Civil Service exam in January, but the deadline to apply is in December so don't delay.
Important Notes
Forest Rangers are classified as "peace officers" pursuant to the New York State Criminal Procedure Law and are required to carry a sidearm as a part of their official duties. Before being certified for appointment, candidates must first pass a rigid physical examination, agility test and an extensive background investigation.

The exam for the position of Forest Ranger will be held on January 21, 2006. Applications for the exam must be received by December 19.
