Belleayre Opens for 56th Season

Belleayre Mountain, New York's Winter Snow Park, opened for its 56th season on Saturday, November 19, 2005. Die-hards lined up at the ticket window early to get their first turns on the slopes. Skiers and snowboarders, eager to make their's the first tracks on the freshly groomed trails, practically ran to the base of the lift as it opened.

Visitors to Belleayre Mountain have come to expect great new skiing opportunities after each long summer, and this season is no exception. With two new glade runs, increased snowmaking, a carving skill park and five new trails for the Area 51 terrain park, Belleayre is offering something new for every level of skier and rider. And anyone who's ridden the Tomahawk Lift after a big snowstorm and longed to make fresh tracks under it will be thrilled to know that the new "Lift Line" trail is now open for skiing.
