Information Meetings Scheduled Regarding Draft Part 375 Superfund/Brownfield Regulations

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) plans to issue a draft proposal regarding a regulation that would incorporate Superfund/Brownfield law changes to the Inactive Hazardous Waste Disposal Site Remedial Program (State Superfund Program) and the Environmental Restoration Program (ERP), and provide regulations for the new Brownfield Cleanup Program (BCP).

DEC plans to make the draft regulation and supporting documentation available on its website and at the document repositories also indicated on the website. This regulation is expected to be formally proposed in the New York State Register as early as November 16 and will be subject to public review and comment.
Meeting Information
DEC, in cooperation with the New York State Department of Health (NYSDOH), will conduct seven public information meetings to present the draft regulation and respond to questions prior to required public hearings. Each meeting will consist of two sessions: a general regulation session from 10 AM until noon and a session about soil cleanup objectives from 1:30 PM until 4 PM.
