Take a Ramble...Then a Lark

DEC is once again a major sponsor of two exciting outdoor extravaganzas this fall: the 6th Annual Hudson River Valley Ramble and the 2nd Annual Lark in the Park. Cooperating with other state, regional and local organizations, DEC is taking part in a wide range of activities highlighting the spectacular natural wonders of the Hudson River Valley and the Catskill Forest Preserve. Ramblers and lark takers will have more than 250 ways to hike, paddle, explore, pedal and learn about everything from stream ecology to Hudson River School painters and much, much more.

Ramble on Sept. 17-18, 24-25

Free DEC Hudson River Estuary Program sponsored rambles are planned for the entire 154 miles of estuary from Troy to Manhattan.
