Enjoy All the Season Has to Offer at Belleayre

events planned in December

The Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) recommends that everyone get outside and enjoy what winter has to offer instead of holing up in front of the TV for the next couple of months. Taking advantage of the season's crisp air, beautiful scenery and outdoor activities will help to make the short days ahead more enjoyable and healthful.

Belleayre Mountain Ski Center

With that advice in mind, Belleayre Mountain Ski Center, operated by DEC, is ramping up for the season and offering the following deals to entice people to come out to the slopes:

  • December 5 - Anyone who brings a new unwrapped toy to Belleayre can get a lift ticket to use that day for only $25.
  • December 7 - Belleayre will unveil its new "Beast Wear" and give hats to the first 50 people who purchase lift tickets. Be a trendsetter by sporting the "Belleayre look" with your free hat!
  • December 12 - All Delaware County residents who show valid IDs may purchase $25 lift tickets to use that day. At noon on the 12th, in cooperation with B'nai Israel Synagogue of Fleischmanns, Belleayre will hold its annual Hanukkah candle lighting service in the Garden Room at the Overlook Lodge. Everyone is invited to attend this celebration, which will include food, music, story-telling and much more.
  • December 17 - The first of five "Skier Appreciation" days will be held on this date. Lift tickets for the 17th may be purchased for only $15!

Don't be discouraged if temperatures are unseasonably warm or there's no snow where you are. Thanks to altitude, snowmaking equipment and great grooming, Belleayre doesn't have to depend completely on Mother Nature, and winter fun is always on tap!
