Draft Citizen Participation Plan Released for Endicott

DEC has released, for public review and comment, the draft Citizen Participation Plan for the ongoing environmental investigation and cleanup effort in the Village of Endicott, Broome County. The draft will guide DEC's future outreach efforts as the investigation and cleanup process continues. Individuals can submit written comments on the draft plan until March 1, 2004.

The plan includes background information, objectives, project descriptions, citizen participation activities completed and planned, project contacts, and information about websites that contain current project information. Basic information about each project is included in the draft, along with a brief status and, when applicable, the next action to be taken.

Comment Period and Assessment

After all comments have been received, DEC will review and assess them and issue the final plan. In the interim, DEC will continue to hold public availability sessions and post updated information on its website.
