Land Use and Transportation Planning CSC Coordinator
As part of the Regional Coordinators Pilot Program, the Environmental Analysis and Communication Group of Rutgers University (part of the Bloustein School of Planning and Public Policy), developed the Climate Smart Communities Toolkit. The Toolkit highlights practices to reduce greenhouse gas emissions through local land use, zoning, transportation planning, green infrastructure and progressive building codes related to energy efficiency, renewable energy and land-use planning. The toolkit is designed to address the specific needs and priorities of the full range of New York communities participating in the CSC program. The Rutgers team also aligned this project with the work New York State is doing through the Transportation Climate Initiative.
