Public Meetings - Sea Level Rise Task Force

In January, 2009, the New York State Sea Level Rise Task Force (SLRTF) sponsored four public meetings to educate and inform citizens about sea level rise. At those meetings, the task force solicited input for the development of recommendations for adaptation to rising sea levels. The locations and schedules of these public sessions are shown below.

In addition to these public meetings, the Sea Level Rise Task Force held five working meetings in 2008 and 2009. SLRTF working meetings are open to the public, but are not primarily educational in nature.

The SLRTF expects to release a draft report during the third week of April, 2010, and will conduct public comment meetings and briefings to interested groups before preparing its final report.
