2003 Open House
The Department held an informational open house in Corning, NY on January 9 and 10, 2003, to present information about the state land leasing process and to gather public input about the proposed lease sale. Over 75 people attended the workshops.
The Department received approximately 59 public comments on the proposed lease sale, and has prepared a responsiveness summary document entitled Response to Public Comments (PDF, 85KB) addressing the public comments. As a result of comments received and the unique size and shape of the area, the Department has decided to offer Schuyler SRA #3 - Texas Hollow State Forest only as a non-surface entry lease.
