Project Description:

The proposed activity is not subject to review in accordance with SHPA. The permit type is exempt or the activity is being reviewed in accordance with federal historic preservation regulations.
Coastal Management:
This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.

Project Description:
The Applicant, Christmas & Associates, Inc., proposes to operate a gravel mine on a 22 acre parcel under their ownership.The life of mine boundary will be 4.9 acres, with 2.18 acres of affected land proposed for the first five-year term. There is no proposed processing of material at the site. A portion of the access road will be in the adjacent area of Freshwater Wetland W-24, a class I, 1,525 acre wetland. The mine is located slightly east of the intersection of North Amboy Road and N.Y.S. Route 13.

State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:
Cultural resource lists and map have been checked. No registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.
