The applicant proposes to
dredge to a depth of 4 feet below apparent low water a 28 foot
by 28 foot area encompassing the existing mooring area of their dock which is located 77
feet off shore of their 70 foot long navy bulkhead. Twenty five cubic yards of material
are proposed to be removed from the shoals, mudflats, and littoral zone and used as
backfill for the removal and replacement of the bulkhead in the same location. Two 6
foot long bulkhead returns and a 4 foot wide boardwalk will be installed. The project is
located at Dolphin Drive on Georges Creek, Woodmere, Town of Hempstead, Nassau
County.
