Erie County - The Village of Akron, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Village of Akron Comprehensive Plan and Zoning Revisions will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the amendment of the Village of Akron Comprehensive Plan and make certain corrections to the land use map. Parcels designated Industrial are changed to Residential (4 parcels) and to Business (1 parcel). One zoning change on 16 acres will change from Industrial to Residential-1. The project is located in the Village of Akron, Clarence Center Road/Hake Road.

Erie County - The Orchard Park Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Fisher Bus Facility may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environment Impact Statement must be prepared. A public scoping session will be held on March 27, 2007 at 7:00 p.m. at the Municipal Center Basement, Public Meeting Room 4295 South Buffalo Street, Orchard Park, NY. The action involves development of a 27.1 acre, industrial zoned parcel of land located on South Benzing Road in the Town of Orchard Park. Fisher Bus Service intends to fully relocated its operations from Hamburg to the South Benzing Road site. The application before the Town Board proposes a 17,000 sq. ft. office and attached bus maintenance garage and associated off street parking for buses and employees. The project will involve the removal of approximately 7.3 acres of existing vegetation.
