The applicant, J. E. Sheehan
Contracting Corporation proposes to mine sand and gravel
from a 50.0 acre Life of Mine Area on a 99.04 acre parcel of land owned by Leonard
Gadway. It is anticipated that during the initial permit term, 49.4 acres would be affected
in order to provide materials needed for wind farm projects. On-site screening and
crushing of gravel are proposed. Gravel will be trucked from the mine approximately 400
feet to Cannon Corners Road via an existing haul road. The reclamation objective is for
soil stabilization and the establishment of grass cover.
