The applicant proposes to
reconstruct the bulkhead at an existing boat basin by
reconstructing 132 feet of jetty in-place, 203 feet of bulkhead in-place and 6 inches higher
in elevation and 717 feet of bulkhead within 18 inches of the existing bulkhead and 6
inches higher in elevation. One hundred and fifty cubic yard of fill is proposed to be
placed landward of the existing bulkhead with 230 cubic yards of fill placed between the
bulkheads as backfill. Placement of the fill landward of the existing bulkhead will result
in the loss of approximately 890 square feet of vegetated tidal wetlands known as High
Marsh. The applicant proposes to replant this area with Spartina patens as mitigation.
