Cayuga County - The City of Auburn, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Supplemental Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Landfill Cell No. 4 Liner Extension. A public hearing on the Draft Supplemental EIS will be held on March 29, 2007 at 6:00 p.m. at the Memorial City Hall, 24 South Street, Auburn, New York. Public comment period ends April 13, 2007. The action involves the extension of the lined landfill area to the north of the current Landfill No. 2 footprint within the City of Auburn. The proposed liner extension will add a total of 9.5 acres of new liner system; another approximately 8 acres will be developed as access roads, storm water management facilities, landfill containment berms, leachate management facilities and other ancillary facilities. The project is located on North Division Street, Auburn.
