The applicant proposes to
treat Kinderhook Lake (384 acres) with Cuprine-Plus Liquid
with no more than two 220 gallon applications. Each treatment will be separated by a
minimum period of two weeks and each application will involve two 110 gallon
applications, diluted with lake water, covering approximately 1/2 of the lake surface. In
addition, the lake will be treated with up to 30,000# of Alum to control algae during the
2007 season. The project is located on Kinderhook Lake, in the Towns of Kinderhook
and Chatham, Columbia County.

The applicant proposes to
conduct a streambank stabilization project along the West
Branch of the Delaware River at South Street and Terrace Avenue. The project at South
Street will consist of stabilizing approximately460 feet of eroded stream bank using
vegetation including willow and other native trees and shrubs. The project at Terrace
Avenue will consist of stabilizing approximately 600 feet of eroding stream bank with a
combination of rock toe protection, large woody debris for habitat, a rock vane, and a
vegetative reinforced slope system. The project will also entail the use of a bypass
channel to be restored once the bypass is complete. The total length of the Terrace
Avenue project will be approximately 1,150 feet.
