Project Location: The site is located on Chenango Reforestation Area #15, Stand A-2.00 in the Town of Afton, located to the north of the State forest truck trail between East Afton Road and Melondy Hill Road, approximately 0.3 miles west of the intersection with Melondy Hill Road.
Project Description: This project will involve an herbicide application to reduce undesirable understory vegetation (beech, striped maple, ironwood, witch hazel, and blue beech) to allow the natural regeneration of desired species such as red oak, white oak, chestnut oak, sugar maple, and red maple. The action is to take place on 42.5 acres, presently occupied by an oak-hardwood forest. Impact on public health is minimal. Personnel will be equipped with safety equipment. Also, following label instructions for the application will minimize risk.
Onondaga County - The City of Syracuse Industrial Development Agency, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Hotel Syracuse Project will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the acquisition of an interest in the following real property: (1) 100-108 East Onondaga Street, the location of the former Hotel Syracuse (“Hotel”); (2) 501 South Salina Street, the location of existing parking garage (“Garage”); (3) 101 East Onondaga Street, formerly known as the Hotel Syracuse Tower (“Tower”); and (4) the 400 block of South Salina Street, formerly known as the Addis store (“Addis Building”) in the City of Syracuse. The Hotel will be renovated and converted for use as a hotel, residential apartments and retail and banquet facilities, while the Garage will be reconstructed and renovated to allow for continued use as a parking garage with approximately 577 spaces. The Tower will be renovated and converted into office, retail and residential condominium units. The Addis Building will be used for retail purposes. In addition, the portion of East Onondaga Street between the Hotel and the Tower will be converted into a pedestrian mall and enhanced streetscape. The Project also includes the granting of other “financial assistance,” including issuance of the tax-exempt (and taxable) revenue bonds in an amount estimated not to exceed $11,000,000 and exemption from certain real property taxes, mortgage recording taxes and sales and use taxes (together, the “Financial Assistance”). The project is located at 100-108 East Onondaga Street, 501 South Salina Street, and the 400 block of South Salina Street, all of which are located in the City of Syracuse, Onondaga County, State of New York.

Tompkins County - The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Drilling Permit Application for Ansbro Petroleum Co. Proposed Hardie D 1 Natural Gas Well Located within Tompkins County Agricultural District #01 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves drilling a natural gas well in the Town of Lansing, Tompkins County located within Tompkins County Agricultural District #01. Drilling operations will be conducted in accordance with the drilling permit issued and rules and regulations of the Department. The total area proposed to be disturbed during the initial construction phase for the well site and access road is 129,040 square feet or approximately 2.96 acres. After the well has been drilled, it will be put into production or plugged and abandoned. The well pad and access road areas for a producing well will be reduced to 36,540 square feet or approximately 0.84 acres and the remaining disturbed areas reclaimed. If the well is plugged and abandoned, the site will be reclaimed. The project is located at Hardie D property is approximately 800 feet north of Storm Road and 400 feet east of Holden Road. The project is located in the Town of Lansing, Tompkins County.
