A variance to the shoreline setback restrictions contained in Section 806 of the APA Act is also requested since 150 square feet of the boardwalk will be located within 50 feet of the Lake’s mean high water mark.

Project Description:The action involves construction of a new ambulance hall for two ambulances and a medic car. The facility will also be used for training, meetings and equipment storage. The Elizabethtown-Lewis Emergency Squad is responsible for 166 square miles between both towns and for 110 lane miles of I-87 through the Adirondack Mountains. The Squad responds to approximately 240 calls per year.

Project Title: Ticonderoga Property Development, LLC

Location: Between Delano Road and Burgoyne Road in the Town of Ticonderoga

Project Description: The action involves wetland restoration activities including installation of approximately 380 feet of two-strand wire fencing on steel or untreated wooden posts in wetlands to protect existing and proposed wetland areas from disturbance from agricultural activities. This activity is part of proposed compensatory wetland mitigation being proposed to the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers to restore and protect wetlands.


Negative Declaration

Clinton County - The New York State Department Of Environmental Conservation, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed R. E. Beeman Mine - Garrand Road, Proposed Expansion will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the proposed expansion of an existing sand and gravel mine from a 15 acres life of mine area to an 85.4 acre life of mine area on a 207.27 acre parcel owned by the applicant. A screen is operated within the mine and is expected to continue at a variety of locations within the mine area. Sand and gravel will continue to be trucked from the mine approximately one third mile west to Hemmingford Road via an existing haul road. The reclamation objective is for the establishment of grass cover. The project is located north of NY Rt 11 and east of Garrand Road.

Washington County - The Village of Granville, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Village of Granville Wastewater Treatment Plant Upgrade Phase 2 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves installation of Traveling Bridge Filters at existing Wastewater Treatment Plant facility to improve overall effluent quality and meet permit limits for effluent. The project is located in the Village of Granville.
