Putnam County - The Putnam Valley Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Haeusgen Subdivision may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The Town of Putnam Valley Planning Board has received an application to permit a 15-Lot subdivision on 66.48 (+/-) acres of land. The subject site is located on Oscawana Lake Road and is within the Low-Density Residence (R-3) Zoning District. The subject site is located within the Ground and Surface Water Protection (WP) Overlay District, the Hillside Management (HM) Overlay District, and the Wetlands and Watercourse (W) Overlay District. The project site contains wetlands, vernal pools, and watercourses regulated by the Town of Putnam Valley and potentially, the Army Corps of Engineers. The applicant is proposing an internal public roadway which would end in a cul-de-sac. The proposed dwellings are proposed to be served by individual wells and sanitary sewage disposal systems. The subject parcel is located immediately adjacent to an Agricultural District.
A public scoping session will be conducted; the date and time of which is forthcoming. Prior the public scoping session, the draft scoping document will be sent to all Involved and Interested Agencies. The scoping session will be held at the Town of Putnam Valley Town Hall, 265 Oscawana Lake Road, Putnam Valley, New York 10579. The public scoping session will be noticed in the Putnam County News and Recorder at least 14 days in advance of the meeting. Public comment will be accepted at the scoping session relating to all issues to be addressed in the Draft Environmental Impact Statement (DEIS). The project is located on Oscawana Lake Road, Putnam Valley, Putnam County, NY.
