The applicant proposes to
expand an existing permitted 3.3 acre bluestone mine to 12.75
acres. The operation consists of removal of overburden using bulldozer or track-hoe,
excavation of material by drilling, blasting, and mechanical equipment. A closed loop
water system will contain saw process water generated during sawing operations.
Ongoing concurrent reclmation of affected areas to be continued. The project is located
approximately 1.2 miles southwest of the hamlet of Walton on William Beers Road, 709
feet from the intersection of State Route 10.

The applicant proposes to
raise a 450 foot long existing driveway by one foot through
FWW SY-6 and add a 30 by 40 foot gravel parking area within the wetland adjacent
area. The applicant also proposes to replace a 24 ft by 30 ft garage with a storage building
on the same footprint. Rip rap shoreline protection and the addition of up to 6 inches of
topsoil to existing lawn areas is also proposed.
