The applicant proposes to
expand an existing 12-acre life of mine sand and gravel mine
by 7.7 acres, for a total 19.7-acre life of mine area. Material processing will continue as
part of the ongoing operation. This proposal does not include mining of consolidated
materials, however a test blast will be conducted to determine viability of pursuing
consolidated material mining in the future. The mine is located on the north side of
Route 74, approx.1.3 miles west of intersection with Routes 9N & 22. The proposal is
also under review by the Adirondack Park Agency (#2006-132).

The reclamation objective is to seed the area to create a field condition. The mine is
located on the west side of Limekiln Road, approximately .73 miles from the junction
with NYS Route 28. This proposal is also under review by Adirondack Park Agency
(#2007-6).
