project is located in the Village of Fleischmanns on the west side of Lake Street (County
Route 37) adjacent to what at one time was Lake Switzerland.

The University at Albany
- East Campus has applied to the department for a modification
to their existing Air State Facility Permit. This permit modification application includes
proposed conditions for restructuring the permit to allow for the installation and operation
of two new NSPS Dc boilers. The facility will continue to operate within the constraints
of existing NOx and SO2 emission limits. The permit will also include the existing two
boilers. It will allow for all four boilers to burn #2 fuel oil, #6 fuel oil and natural gas
within the constraints of the permitted conditions. The Department has prepared a Draft
Permit and has made a tentative determination to approve the application. Project
Location: The existing facility is located in the City of Rensselaer, One University
Place
- Northern Side of Old Sterling Facility, Rensselaer County, New York 12144. Public
Notice: The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation (NYSDEC)
hereby notices a complete application and proposed Air State Facility permit conditions
for University at Albany - East Campus. Document Availability/Public Comments: A
copy of the final draft permit can be obtained from the NYS Department of
Environmental Conservation offices, Region 4 Headquarters at 1130 North Westcott
Road, Schenectady, NY 12306, between 9:00 AM and 4:00 PM, Monday through Friday
or by calling Nancy Adams, Project Manager at (518) 357-2452. Comments will be
received for 30 days from the date of this notice. If comments are received which raise
significant issues or provide additional relevant information, the Department may modify
the draft Air State Facility Permit.
