Project Title: Town of Lake Pleasant

The Project Sponsor requested in a letter to the Agency on January 22, 2007, to extend the hours of operation from May 1 to November 30, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00p.m. and Saturdays 8:00 a.m. to 1 p.m. to May 1 to December 31, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00p.m. and Saturdays 8:00 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Project Description:The project is a greater than 25% expansion of a pre-1973 commercial sand and gravel extraction (i.e. sand and gravel pit) with a 14 acre life of mine area on a 21.6 acre parcel of property. The applicant proposes extraction of a maximum of 10,000 cubic yards of sand and gravel on an annual basis for a period of five years. The proposed mining operation will operate from May 1 to December 31, Monday through Friday, 7:00 a.m. to 5:00pm and Saturdays 8:00 a.m. to1p.m. The equipment to be used in the mining operation includes a front-end loader, bulldozer, and dump trucks. The Department of Environmental Conservation, Region 5, has a pending permit application.

Project Title: Christensen Subdivision

Location: New York State Route 30 in the Town of Hope

Project Description: The action involves subdivision of a 37.8 acre parcel of land located between New York State Route 30 and the Sacandaga River, a designated recreational river in the New York State Wild, Scenic and Recreational Rivers System, into four lots ranging from 2.84 acres to 23.1 acres in size. A single family dwelling served by on-site wastewater treatment and water supply facilities is proposed on three of the lots. The fourth lot, where no new land use or development is proposed, contains an existing restaurant and single family dwelling.


Negative Declaration

Clinton County - The Town of Plattsburgh Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Bluff Point Golf Resort And Community, Webridge Real Estate Inc./CBD Corporation Subdivision Amendment 2006 will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves an amendment to a project previously reviewed and approved by Lead Agency under Resolution No. 04-75 and supported by a certain Negative Declaration dated July 21, 2004 entitled "Bluff Golf Resort and Community Subdivision Amendment 2003 and Webridge Real Estate Inc./Champlain Bluffs Development Corporation Subdivision Plan 2004" ("Phase I-III Subdivision"). The project was considered in a single long form Environmental Assessment Form (EAF) and extensive supporting documentation. The project consists of a 54 parcel subdivision of approximately 111 acres which will result in (a) one parcel for the existing golf course, club house/multi family residential, (b) four (4) parcels for private roads, (c) thirty-one (31) single family residential parcels, (d) sixteen (16) single family residential parcels located in the area called "The Ledges" (which includes Lots 14, 15 and 20 from Phases I-III Subdivision previously approved and referred to herein; and (e) remaining lands. Public water and sewer are proposed along with a private road system. The project is located on the east side of Route 9 on lands known as Bluff Point Golf Course, in the Town of Plattsburgh, Clinton County.
