Suffolk County - The Incorporated Village of Sag Harbor, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed East End Development LLC (21 West Water Street Apartments) Site Plan Application will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the demolition of the pre-existing non-conforming restaurant and nightclub (Rosccos) as well as two apartments and basement dormitory housing. In its place, the project proposes to construct a 2 ½ story 20 unit apartment building totaling 39,213 sq. ft. in gross floor area., exterior and interior parking to accommodate 30 vehicles, and improve the landscaping on the subject property. The subject property is 0.961 acres (41,856 sq.ft.) in the Village's Resort Motel (RM) Zoning District. The property is located south of Water Street, west of Garden Street, and north of Long Island Avenue.

Suffolk County - The Southampton Town Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Change of Zoning may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. A public scoping session will be held on January 19, 2007 at 1:00 p.m. at the Town Board Room, Town Hall, 116 Hampton Road, Southampton, NY. The action involves the Town Board of the Town of Southampton currently considering a petition to change the zoning of two parcels from Resort Waterfront Business to "Maritime Planned Development District (MPDD)" for the Residences at Canoe Place development proposal. The development concept involves a 75 unit private Residence Club and associated recreational facilities with a total proposed building area of 161,115 sq. ft. The subject parcels encompass 5.65 acres of land and are located on the n/w corner of Montauk Highway (CR 80) and Newtown Road (CR 62), Hampton Bays, Town of Southampton, New York. Nassau County - The Town of Oyster Bay, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Petition of Plainview Properties, LLC. & Avalon Bay Communities, Inc. ("Old Plainview"). A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on January 23, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at the Town Hall, 74 Audrey Ave., Oyster Bay, NY, to be continued at: Plainview/Old Bethpage Middle School, Central Park Ave. & Southern Parkway at 7:00 p.m. Public comment period ends February 23, 2007. The action involves Petition to the Town Board for Proposed Amendments to the Zoning Chapter of the Code of the Town of Oyster Bay including the Building Zone Map, Creation of a new Planned Unit Development-Mixed Use (PUD-MX) District, Changes in the Zoning Classification of Certain Parcels and Redevelopment and Subdivision of the reclassified parcels. The proposal for the south parcel includes 499 residential units, 182,513 sq. ft. office space, 17,842 sq. ft. retail, 15,873 sq. ft. of educational/charity use, 264,803 sq. ft. of lodging, a community clubhouse, a sports clubhouse, 36.9 acres of contiguous open space, a village green and trail system. The proposal for the north parcel includes 160 rental apartments, 87,207 sq. ft. retail and 21,533 sq. ft. office space. The project is located on 143.26 acre parcel located on the south side of Old Country Road west of Round Swamp Road, Old Bethpage, Town of Oyster Bay, New York and 21.73 acre parcel located on the north side of Old Country Road, 540 feet east of the intersection with Newtown Road, Plainview, Town of Oyster Bay, New York.

Suffolk County - The Riverhead Planning Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Site Plan of F1 Long Island LLC. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on January 18, 2007 at 3:30 p.m. at the Riberhead Town Hall, Meeting Room, 200 Howell Avenue, Riverhead, NY. Public comments on the DEIS will be accepted by the contact person until January 29, 2007. The action involves construction of a commercial sports and recreational facility, accessory uses and related improvements on a 12.1 acre parcel zoned Industrial C. The project is located on the west side of Edwards Avenue, approximately 900 ft. south of Middle Country Road.
