The application is to modify
the final elevation of the mine floor to be up to 10 feet
deeper than depicted on the currently approved plans. The amount of proposed change
varies throughout the mine. No lateral expansion, no excavation below the ground water
table, no change in reclamation objective and no change in operating procedures are
proposed. The mine is located in the Village of Cherry Creek north of West Center Street
and west of Prospect Street.
