The applicant proposes to modify their current Mined Land Reclamation Permit to allow mining up to their western property line (within the 25' setback area), expanding their life of mine by ~1 acre.  Appropriate permission from adjoining landowner is on file.  The proposed new life of mine area is 26 acres, with a proposed total affected area of 21+/- acres during the next 5 year permit term.  The "Cassavaugh Bank" mine is located on the west side of Route 3 in the Town of St. Armand.  The Adirondack Park Agency is also reviewing this proposal (APA #85-231).

The applicant has applied to modify its current Mined Land Reclamation permit to add 12.2 acres to the current 14.2-acre Life-Of-Mine (LOM) area, to total 26.4 acres. The operation will continue to consist of the removal of in-situ sand and gravel, and material screening by portable equipment. This modification would allow for the commencement of extraction into the newly proposed LOM acreage, with no changes to any operational aspect of the mine. The site is located off CR122, on lands owned by Ferndale Cemetery, immediately adjacent to the Ferndale Cemetery between the cities of Johnstown and Gloversville.

The applicant proposes to increase their existing Button Road Mine by 19.78 acres, from an existing 45.1-acre Life-of-Mine (LOM) to a proposed 64.9-acre LOM. No changes to operational aspects of the mine are proposed, and the Mined Land Use Plan plan has been updated to phase the reclamation along with extraction activities. The site is located on a +/-111-acre contiguous parcel located east of Button Rd. and north of Brookwood Rd.
