Project Description:
The applicant proposes to dredge approximately 50 cubic yards of sediment from two ponds, the first a 0.04-acre pond and the second a 0.09-acre pond, located within the adjacent area of Freshwater Wetland PQ-39 (Class II) for recreational and aesthetic purposes. Dredged material is proposed to be disposed of in an upland area on the 6-acre site. The total area of disturbance to the adjacent area of the wetland is 0.13-acre; no disturbance to the wetland is proposed. The project is located southwest of the intersection of Meads Cross Road and Cross Road in the Town of East Fishkill, Dutchess County.

State Environmental Quality Review (SEQR) Determination:
Project is an Unlisted Action and will not have a significant impact on the environment. A Negative Declaration is on file. A coordinated review was performed.
SEQR Lead Agency:
NYS Department of Environmental Conservation
State Historic Preservation Act (SHPA) Determination:
Cultural resource lists and map have been checked. No registered, eligible or inventoried archaeological sites or historic structures were identified at the project location. No further review in accordance with SHPA is required.
Coastal Management:
This project is not located in a Coastal Management area and is not subject to the Waterfront Revitalization and Coastal Resources Act.
Opportunity for Public Comment:
Comments on this project must be submitted in writing to the Contact Person no later than Dec 8 2006.
