Project Description: The construction of a 25' x 30'± single story boathouse with attached 8' dock on two sides.
Franklin County - The New York State Department Of Environmental Conservation, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Town of Chateaugay Sand and Gravel will not have a significant adverse environmental impact. The action involves the Town of Chateaugay applying for a permit to extract sand and gravel from an existing town-owned pit, with the material to be used for projects undertaken by the Town of Chateaugay Highway Department. The proposal involves a 12 acre total life of mine area (7 acres of which are currently affected), which is part of a 100 acre parcel owned by the town. The site will yield approximately 14,000 cubic yards of material over the life of mine term. Upon completion of mining, the site will be reclaimed to a natural state with re-establishment and restoration of native grass and woody cover. The project is located northwest of the Village of Chateaugay, approximately 150 yards south of the intersection of Chasm Road and Brayton Hollow Road, in the Town of Chateaugay, Franklin County.
