New Notices for ENB Issue of October 18, 2006: 2

Jaral Properties has made an application for a Wild, Scenic and Recreational Rivers Permit and variance from permitting requirements to construct a 26,200 square foot paved parking lot for its Best Western Hotel Riverhead property, located at 1830 Route 25, Riverhead, New York, Suffolk County.

A legislative hearing to receive oral comments will be held on December 12, 2006 at 7:00pm. Written statements must be received by December 12, 2006. A pre-adjudicatory hearing issues conference will be held on December 13, 2006 at 10:00am. All filings for party status must be received by December 5, 2006.

Mary Palmeri proposes to construct a single family dwelling, four dry wells, two 50’ retaining walls, a pervious driveway, approximately 116 feet of steel bulkhead, 75 feet of stone armor wall, and a 33’ x 4’ timber catwalk on 10"-diameter piles with two sets of 4’ x 4’ stairs, and to place approximately 348 cubic yards of fill. The Applicant proposes the construction at her property, a vacant lot on the east side of Ocean Avenue, between 2711 and 2721 Ocean Avenue, 1,825 feet south of Bayview, on Silver Lagoon in Seaford, Town of Hempstead, Nassau County.

A legislative hearing to comment on the permit application will be held on November 14, 2006 at 10:00am. Written statements may be mailed in advance of the legislative hearing or may be given to the administrative law judge at the hearing. An issues conference will convene immediately following the legislative hearing. All filings for party status must be received no later than 3:00pm on November 9, 2006. The adjudicatory hearing is scheduled to begin immediately following the issues conference.
