ENB Region 1 Completed Applications 10/11/2006

The applicant proposes to demolish an existing dwelling and swimming pool, and establish a 100 foot undisturbed natural buffer zone between the new residentail development and the regulated freshwater wetland.   The project will require clearing and ground disturbance within 40 feet of the freshwater wetland boundary and some planting of new vegetation is proposed in the disturbed areas.   The regulated freshwater wetland is identified as #HV-1.   The project site is locate at Penny Pond Court, Old Brookville, Town of Oyser Bay, Village of Old Brookville, Nassau County.     

Applicant proposes to demolish existing apartment buildings and construct (1) 9 unit condominium and (1) 3 unit condominium. Drainage culvert through property is to be rerouted along western edge of property, the existing culvert is to be filled, and a paved parking area is to be  constructed in its place. Project is located immediately adjacent to NYSDEC regulated freshwater wetland # A-4 on Union Avenue, Amityville.

The applicant proposes to construct a communications shelter and subsequent antennas on a water tank; installation of concrete piers, trenching for antenna and utility conduits. The property is located at Waterworks Rd., on Tuthills Creek, Patchogue, Town of Brookhaven.

The applicant proposes to reconstruct 70 feet of bulkhead in-kind/in-place and at a lower elevation than existing, construct two 23 foot returns, place 26 cubic yards fill material landward of the bulkhead as backfill and plant with Spartina patens.  Apparent high water is located landward of the bulkhead.  The project will result in the loss of approximately 700 square feet of tidal wetlands known as shoals and mudflats (SM).  The project is located at 152 Bayview Walk, Seaview, Town of Islip, Suffolk County, SCTM# 0500-497-1-57.

The applicant proposes to reconstruct 80 feet of bulkhead in-kind/in-place and at a lower elevation than existing, construct two 23 foot returns, place 29 cubic yards fill material landward of the bulkhead as backfill and plant with Spartina patens.  Apparent high water is located landward of the bulkhead.  The project will result in the loss of approximately 790 square feet of tidal wetlands known as shoals and mudflats (SM).  The project is located at 21 Bayview Walk, Seaview, Town of Islip, Suffolk County, SCTM# 0500-497-1-43.  

The applicant proposes to construct a two story studio/office accessory to an existing dwelling within the adjacent area of a NYS regulated Freshwater Wetland (# SA-42). The applicant also proposes to enclose two existing second story decks on the house for living space and abandon/remove the existing septic system, place fill and install a new septic system.  The studio is proposed to be located within 42 feet of the freshwater wetland, the existing second story decks to be enclosed are within 24 and 29 feet of the freshwater wetland, and the septic system is proposed within 100 feet of the freshwater wetland.  Since the property is located on Sam’s Creek, a Tidal Wetlands permit is also being applied for.  The project is located at 1076 Ocean Road, Bridgehampton, Town of Southampton, SCTM# 0900-134-4-44.
