The applicant, in cooperation
with landowner Mr. Elliott Slate, 26694 Wills Road,
Redwood, New York 13679, proposes to create approximately 15 acres of shallow marsh
habitat, by installing approximately 40' of sheet piling with water level control provisions.
The project would enhance and enlarge existing wetland to benefit waterfowl and other
marsh wildlife. The site is located on tributary 1 of Jewett Creek, 3.5 miles northwest of
Redwood, off the end of Wills Road. The site is located in state regulated freshwater
wetland R-6, a 429.5 acre Class II wetland.
