Negative Declaration

Name of Action: KeySpan Corporate Services General Permit for work in adjacent areas of NYSDEC regulated tidal wetlands; freshwater wetlands and scenic/recreational river corridors.

Location: Adjacent areas of NYSDEC regulated freshwater and tidal wetlands, and scenic /recreational river corridors throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties.

This notice is issued pursuant to Part 617 of the implementing regulations pertaining to Article 8 (State Environmental Quality Review Act) of the Environmental Conservation Law.

The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation, as Lead Agency, has determined, based on the information and analysis below and any supporting documentation, that the proposed action will not result in any significant adverse environment impacts and that a Draft Environmental Impact Statement will not be prepared.

Description of Action: Conduct certain minor utility installation, repair, and maintenance activities in adjacent areas of state regulated freshwater and tidal wetlands, and scenic/recreational river areas throughout Nassau and Suffolk Counties. Examples of authorized work include work on gas valves and regulator stations, transformers, cables, lines, pipes, utility poles and manholes, trenching and other subsurface techniques. Maintaining rights-of-way, repair of existing pavement and dewatering below 45 gpm are also included.

Notice Of Acceptance Of Final EIS

Nassau County - The Town of Oyster Bay, as lead agency, has accepted a Final Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Petition of Cubbies Properties, Inc. & J. Jay Tannenbaum. The action involves a Special Use Permit to construct an 81,103 sq. ft. supermarket with a drive-thru pharmacy on approximately 8.7 acres of a 16,232 acre site. The project is located at the northwest corner of Motot Ave. & Main St., Farmingdale, Town of Oyster Bay, NY.
