Niagara County - The Town of Wheatfield Town Board, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Hillcrest Subdivision. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on September 27, 2006 at 7:00 p.m. at the Town of Wheatfield Community Center, which is located behind the Town Hall at 2800 Church Road, North Tonawanda, New York. Comments on the Draft EIS are requested and will be accepted by the contact person until October 11, 2006. A copy of the Draft EIS is available for review at the Town of Wheatfield Town Clerk's Office, 2800 Church Road, North Tonawanda, NY 14120. The action involves the approval and construction of a major subdivision consisting 211 single-family residential lots and 36 patio home lots. The patio homes will be in a Planned Unit Development (PUD), which requires re-zoning by the Town Board. The development will also include associated roadways, drainage structures and public utilities (sanitary sewers, water, electric, natural gas, etc.) within an 148.83+/- acre parcel. The project site is zoned residential (R-2). The project is located east of Errick Road, west of Nash Road and north of Steig Road in the Town of Wheatfield, Niagara County, New York.
