ENB Region 7 Completed Applications 08/23/2006

The applicant has applied for re-issuance of a mining permit for a previously approved 29 acre life of mine sand and gravel mine.  The permit expired on February 28, 2006.  The applicant now proposes to continue mining within this previously permitted  29 acre portion of the mine during the next permit term.  The project is located on US Route 11, near Johnson Hill Road, in the Town of Lisle, Broome County.

The applicant proposes to construct a septic system on Lot 12 of Beaver Meadow Lake Subdivision.  The septic system is to be located approximately 300 feet from the existing cabin.   Approximately 250' of the 1 1/2" PVC pipe is to be placed in the freshwater wetland and its adjacent area.  DEC agreed to consider a permit for this proposal as the result of a consent order with Christmas and Associates stemming from violations committed during the initial development of the road infrastructure.  Project is located North of Bliven Coye Hill Rd, South of Graham Rd.

The applicant proposes to construct a single-family residential subdivision on 29.1 acres. The proposed work to be done in or adjacent to DEC freshwater wetland MAR-2 includes: construction of stormwater management area within the adjacent area; construction of a municipal road across the existing drainage ditch that connects the two wetlands and is therefore in the adjacent area; requesting a 50-foot reduction of the adjacent area buffer width east of the new road; dredging the periodic flooding area immediately upstream from the existing culvert that serves as the farm access road (includes removing the existing culvert); and, request to rehabilitate the existing residence, farm buildings and corresponding sewage disposal system, which are located in the adjacent area (County Health Department approval will be required for the septic system, prior to any changes to it.  DEC approval would not override the County's decision.).  Location:  Meadow Ridge Estates Subdivision (the name may be changed), north side of County Route 175 (Seneca Turnpike), approximately 3000' east of Frank Gay Road, Marcellus (T), Onondaga County.
