ENB Region 4 Completed Applications 08/16/2006

The applicant proposes to construct nine, 8-unit condominium buildings specifically designed for senior citizen occupancy on a 14.5 acre parcel located along the east side of Brandle Road just south of the village of Altamont.  Construction will impact approximately 0.06 acre of freshwater wetland AL-14, 1.8 acres of wetland buffer area and 78 linear feet of stream channel.  To offset wetland impacts the remaining wetland and buffer areas on the property will be protected by a deed covenant with prohibitions from further development of these areas and the stormwater management area has been designed to develop the characteristics and functionality of a wetland.  Green space on the property will be owned and maintained by a Homeowners Association.  

The applicant proposes to modify an existing mined land reclamation permit to include a processing plant within  the life of mine.  The site is located on County Route 2 at the existing Beech Ridge Sand and Gravel site, in the Town of Lexington, Greene County

The project is designed to restore wetland values and wildlife habitat by constructing shallow water areas through the USDA, Wetlands Reserve Program.  The project involves the installation of 1 low earthen embankment and the excavation of 5 potholes. The project is located approximately 1000 feet west of 5711 State Highway 51 in the township of Burlington, Otsego County.

The applicant proposes a new 18.53 acre sand and gravel mine located 4.1 miles north of the Village of Laurens, New York, on County Highway 11.  There are four phases proposed for the life of mine, with each phase ranging from 4-5 acres.
