The Department has made
a tentative determination to re-issue a permit to discharge up to
1,800 gpd of treated domestic sanitary wastewater. The existing system consists of a
septic tank, buried sand filter of 1,800 square feet, and chlorinator, which would outlet to
an existing on-site pond with an unnamed, intermittent outet that is a tributary to a Class
C(t) stream (DEC Water Index No. D-53-1-5). No modifications to the system are
proposed. The permittee will be required to continue to maintain records and report data
to verify compliance with the permit conditions and discharge limits. A draft permit is
available for review at the NYSDEC Region 3 office.

remove accumulated wood and stone debris, and excvate a high
flow channel with Sprague Brook (DEC Water Index No. D-70-20-25-11; Class B(T)).
The project site is located on the south side of DeBruce Road, about 500 west of the
intersection with Grooville Road. Debris will be removed from an area about 10 feet
wide by 25 feet long. A high flow channel about 10 feet wide by 2 feet deep by 200 feet
long will be excavated within an existing overflow channel.

variance from the Recreational River regulations has been requested to allow construction
of one home within 120 feet of the river.

The applicant proposes to dredge
approximately 2350 cubic yards of sediment
from a 5+acre pond [Class A(t)] within Beaverdam Creek to remove nuisance
plant growth and improve recreational uses of the pond. Dredged material is
proposed to be disposed of as fill on upland areas immediately adjacent to the
pond. A portion of the dredge spoils will be used to regrade a small portion of the
eastern embankment of the pond, Davis Lake. The project is located on the west
side of Upper Sahler Mill Road, north of the intersection with Barringer Road in
the Town of Olive, Ulster County.
