The applicant has applied
for re-issuance of a mining permit for a previously approved 50
acre life of mine sand and gravel mine. The permit allowed mining on 14 acres (phases 1
and 2) during the previous permit term. The permit expired on August 31, 2003. The
applicant now proposes to continue mining within this previously permitted 14 acre
portion of the mine during the next permit term. The project is located on the east side of
Dyer Flat Road, approximately 0.1 mile north of County Route 54 in the Town of
Colesville, Broome County.

proposal to expand the life-of-mine facility by 1.75 acres along the west edge of the
current mine. All mining activity would be upon lands owned by Edwin and Joan Melvin
at 367 South Granby Road, Fulton, NY. The application is available for review in the
Syracsue Office.
