The applicant proposes to
dredge approximately 13,000 cubic yards of sediment in the
Hudson River in the location of the Intrepid at Pier 86. The depth of the dredging will be
to 35 feet below Mean Low Water. The dredged material will be placed at a state-approved upland
site. The purpose of the dredging is to allow the removal of the Intrepid
for inspection and repairs at a dry-dock facility. Project site is located at Pier 86 at 46th
Street and 12th Avenue, Manhattan.

dredge approximately 7,405 cubic yards of sediment in Mill
Creek. Approximately one foot of clean sand will be backfilled into the dredged areas
along Mill Creek. The dredged material will be placed in upland areas on site above
existing contaminated soil and capped with a GCL-soil cap. The purpose of the dredging
is to facilitate the remediation of the project site pursuant to NYSDEC Voluntary Cleanup
Agreement No. W2-0801-01-04, dated 01/04/02. The project site is located at 1 Nassau
Place (286 Richmond Valley Road), Staten Island 10309.
