Suffolk County - The Southampton Town Planning Board, as lead agency, has determined that the proposed Reid Property may have a significant adverse impact on the environment and a Draft Environmental Impact Statement must be prepared. The action involves Site Plan/Special Exception/Wetland Permit application includes the following elements:
The northern boundary of the project site is on Ligonee Brook, a tributary of Sag Harbor Cove, part of the Peconic Bay watershed, flows along the northern boundary of the project site and drains to the southeast to Long Pond, a significant habitat complex designated by the USFWS and NYS Department of State. The project site is located in the Highway Business (HB) Zoning District, in the Aquifer Protection Overlay District, in the NYS Archaeologically Sensitive Map Area, on the east side of Bridgehampton Sag Harbor Turnpike, near the Incorporated Village of Sag Harbor. The project is located at 1810 Bridgehampton-Sag Harbor Turnpike, approximately 50 feet east of Fordham Street, Sag Harbor, Town of Southampton, Suffolk County, Long Island, New York (SCTM No. 900-26-1-10.2).

Suffolk County - The Board of Education of the Three Village Central School District, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Improvements at the Ward Melville High School. Written comments on the DEIS will be accepted by the contact person listed below until July 17, 2006 at 5:00 p.m. The DEIS is available for public review at the office of the contact person, office of the District Clerk and at the Emma S. Clark Memorial Library, 120 Main Street, Setauket, New York 11733. The action involves the Board of Education of the Three Village Central School District proposing improvements at the Ward Melville High School. The proposed improvements include construction of a new two-story classroom addition and connecting corridor, construction of a new music addition, construction of a new gymnasium addition, miscellaneous reconstruction and reorganization of interior spaces (90,900± square feet), installation of a new 3,000-gallon underground storage tank for acid storage (associated with science education/laboratory instruction), installation of a new 10,000-gallon underground storage tank for No. 2 fuel oil, conversion of a grass-surface football field to a synthetic turf surface (with the installation of the associated drainage system), relocation of the existing tennis courts (slightly to the south of existing location), new parking (21 spaces) at the westerly portion of the site, new parking (44 spaces) at the northwestern portion of the site, new parking (33 spaces) at the northeastern portion of the site, new parking (47 spaces) at the southeastern portion of the site, and construction of a driveway behind the existing High School building adjoining the north and south parking lots. Upon implementation of the proposed action, the square footage of the existing 305,755 square foot school will be increased to approximately 365,072 square feet. The proposed site improvements will increase the available parking spaces from 585 existing stalls to approximately 686 proposed stalls. The project is located at Ward Melville High School, 380 Old Town Road, in the Hamlet of Setauket.

Suffolk County - The Village of Lloyd Harbor Board of Zoning Appeals, as lead agency, has accepted a Draft Environmental Impact Statement on the proposed Application of Prescott Ammarell. A public hearing on the Draft EIS will be held on July 13, 2006, at 6:30 p.m. at the Lloyd Harbor Village Hall - 32 Middle Hollow Road, Huntington, NY. Written comment on the Draft EIS will be accepted until July 24, 2006. Location where DEIS is available is Lloyd Harbor Village Hall – 32 Middle Hollow Road Huntington, New York 11743. The action involves a variance to allow the construction of a section of a dock to be constructed as a 54 fixed pier in lieu of floats, with a length of 99 feet rather than the maximum permitted 75 feet and extended a distance 20 feet seaward of the point where mean low water depth is 2 feet, located within Coastal Overlay District - 1 and a Critical Environmental Area of the Village.
